(1)  Dealing With Your Own Mind (originally taught 1/9/1998)

"Not only can your mind be controlled, your life can be controlled.  A situation can be controlled.  The moment you start breathing with your left nostril, your elementary self will come in play.  Moment your elementary self comes in play, your totality of the mind becomes one unit to confirm and it puts the radiance shield of your body and you will immediately become very pleasant and positive rather than angry and reactive."  - Yogi Bhajan

(2)  Anti-Depression & Brain Synchrony

"You are born and made to be positive and creative.  The creativity of your existence is unlimited.  Because we do not have the established habit of constancy in thought and action, we create negative patterns in our thoughts and actions; we generate our own depressions.  This mediation will let you evaluate and measure how positive or negative you are.  It will also make you positive and happy."  - Yogi Bhajan

(3)  Guru Gaitri Mantra Meditation

"This mediation works on subconscious blocks, especially around issues of fear.  It is a Core Alignment Meditation for the Defender Aspect of the mind.  This aspect looks at everything based on how it may affect you.  When the Negative Mind is too strong, you may appear rigid, reactive, and over-dominant.  When balanced you deliver strong focused actions and you enjoy challenge." - Yogi Bhajan

(4)  Meditation for the Negative Mind

"When you need to balance the flashing negativity and protective fervor of the Negative Mind, use this meditation.  It clears the subconsious of unwanted negative or fearful thoughts." - Yogi Bhajan

HALDI KA DOODH (GOLDEN MILK) with TURMERIC PASTE

This delicious hot drink is good for the spine.  It lubricates all the joints and helps break up calcium deposits.

1/8 tsp. Turmeric Paste

1/4 cup Water

8 oz. Milk (dairy or non-dairy)

2 tbsp. Raw Almond Oil

Honey to Taste

Boil turmeric powder in water until it forms a thick paste.  If too much water boils away, add a little more water.  Meanwhile, bring milk to a boil with the almond oil.  As soon as it boils, remove from heat.  Combine the two mixtures and add honey to taste.

If you like, you can prepare a reserve supply of turmeric paste by boiling a larger quantity of turmeric and storing in the refrigerator for up to 40 days.

As a change of pace, whiz golden milk in the blender until frothy, and serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
